The The North Face Men’s Terra Peak Jacket delivers lightweight, packable warmth for hiking, travel, and cold-weather adventures where staying mobile matters. THERMOBALL synthetic insulation traps heat efficiently and continues insulating even when wet, while the abrasion-resistant Pertex Quantum ripstop shell helps keep weight down while protecting the insulation and maximizing loft. Four-way-stretch underarm gussets give you room to reach, scramble, and move without the jacket holding you back, and stretch-knit cuffs with FLASHDRY technology help manage moisture during higher-output activity. When you don’t need the extra warmth, the entire jacket packs into its own chest pocket for easy storage in a backpack. Made primarily with recycled materials and weighing just over a pound, the Terra Peak is a lightweight men’s insulated hiking jacket that’s easy to bring along when changing temperatures and unpredictable weather are part of the adventure.
Blown THERMOBALL™ synthetic insulation is placed in channels to provide efficient warmth while maintaining a lightweight, packable design. Unlike traditional down, the synthetic insulation is designed to continue providing warmth even when wet.
The lightweight Pertex® Quantum shell uses recycled nylon woven ripstop to protect the insulation while keeping overall weight low, helping the insulation maintain its loft for dependable warmth.
The Terra Peak stows into its own chest pocket, creating a compact package that’s easy to stash in a backpack when temperatures rise or extra insulation isn’t needed.
Four-way-stretch underarm gussets provide additional mobility where you need it most, allowing the jacket to move more naturally during hiking, scrambling, climbing, and other active pursuits.
Pieced-in stretch-knit cuffs feature FLASHDRY™ technology to help manage moisture during higher-output activity while providing a comfortable, close-fitting finish around the wrists.
The lightweight woven ripstop exterior helps provide protection against chilly winds, making the Terra Peak a versatile insulating layer for exposed trails, cool travel days, and changing weather.
Covered secure-zip hand pockets provide protected storage for everyday essentials, while an internal drop-in chest pocket offers additional space for smaller items.
A stand collar adds coverage around the neck, while the exposed center-front zipper includes an internal draft flap and chin guard. Brushed-tricot lining at the top of the draft flap adds a softer feel against the skin.
The body and overlay use 100% recycled nylon, the lining uses 100% recycled polyester, and THERMOBALL™ insulation is made with 100% post-consumer recycled polyester. Recycled materials are also used throughout the underarm gussets and cuffs.
