The The North Face Men’s GORE-TEX Dawnstrike Insulated Jacket is built for storm days, cold chairlifts, and long sessions when heading inside early isn’t part of the plan. A waterproof, wind-blocking GORE-TEX 2-layer shell helps shut out everything from blower powder to wet afternoon snow, while HEATSEEKER Advanced synthetic insulation delivers plenty of warmth without weighing you down. When you start working up a sweat, underarm vents with power-mesh lining dump excess heat while helping keep snow outside where it belongs. Mountain-ready details include a helmet-compatible hood, powder skirt, wrist gaiters with thumbholes, pass pocket with goggle wipe, and plenty of secure storage for essentials. With a regular hip-length fit and recycled body fabric, the Dawnstrike is a fully featured men’s insulated GORE-TEX ski and snowboard jacket ready to keep shredding when the weather gets rowdy.
Durably waterproof GORE-TEX® 2-layer fabric provides dependable protection from wet mountain weather, while a non-PFC durable water-repellent finish adds another layer of water resistance.
HEATSEEKER™ Advanced synthetic insulation uses a dual-fiber construction designed to provide a high warmth-to-weight ratio, packability, and durability. The jacket uses 60 g insulation through the body and 40 g through the hood, sleeves, and area below the powder skirt.
Zippered underarm vents make it easy to release excess heat when you’re working hard, while power-mesh lining helps keep snow from entering through the vents.
The attached, fully adjustable hood is designed to fit over a ski or snowboard helmet, providing additional weather protection when the wind and snow pick up.
An integrated powder skirt uses gripper elastic to help seal out snow and includes a jacket-to-pant integration clip for added protection on deep days.
Internal stretch-knit wrist gaiters with thumbholes help close the gap between jacket and gloves to seal out cold air and blowing snow.
Storage includes an exposed-zip chest pocket, secure-zip hand pockets with sueded lining, an internal secure-zip pocket, an internal power-mesh drop-in pocket, and a covered pass pocket on the left sleeve with an attached goggle wipe.
A drawcord at the hem and bonded hook-and-loop cuff tabs allow the jacket to be adjusted for additional protection and a more secure fit as conditions change.
The GORE-TEX® body fabric is made with 100% recycled polyester, while the main-body and lower-body linings use 100% recycled nylon. The body insulation is made with 80% post-consumer recycled polyester.
