Discover just how much of the mountain one ski can handle with the HEAD Discovery 82 Pro Skis. Built for intermediate to advanced skiers who want one setup that can rip groomers, blast through afternoon chop, and head off-piste when fresh snow starts calling. The 82mm waist hits a sweet spot between quick edge-to-edge carving and added stability in softer, variable snow, while All-Mountain Rocker keeps the ski maneuverable wherever you wander. A full Wood Core delivers a lively, responsive feel, and HEAD’s Auxetic Tech with Superframe Construction creates a progressive flex—the ski stays easygoing when you’re cruising, then stiffens and pushes back as you ski harder. Graphene adds strength without unnecessary weight, while Better Balance technology helps keep turn initiation natural and intuitive. Paired with PR 11 GW bindings, the Discovery 82 Pro is a true all-mountain ski package that’s happy carving corduroy one run and hunting for untouched lines the next.
Auxetic Tech gives the Discovery 82 Pro a progressive flex that adapts to how hard you ski. At slower speeds the ski maintains a natural, manageable flex, but as you push harder and increase pressure through the turn, the Auxetic structure strengthens to provide greater support and responsiveness.
Superframe Construction boosts torsional strength to help keep the ski stable and controlled through churned-up and variable snow. Its fully wrapped fiberglass structure distributes pressure along the ski, while the Auxetic material builds pressure against the Superframe as the ski flexes, allowing it to become more supportive the harder it is pushed.
The full Wood Core provides natural strength, responsiveness, and a lively feel underfoot. Combined with Superframe Construction and Auxetic Tech, it delivers strong performance on groomers while keeping the ski light and maneuverable enough to explore beyond the trail.
Graphene is an exceptionally thin, light, and strong material used strategically within the ski to increase strength and performance without adding unnecessary weight, helping the Discovery 82 Pro remain responsive and easy to maneuver.
The inclined Better Balance Base provides a constant ramp angle across different boot sole sizes, helping give skiers the same mechanical advantage for natural turn initiation and improved stability at speed.
All-Mountain Rocker combines early rise in the tip with traditional camber throughout the rest of the ski. The Discovery 82 Pro uses 25% tip rocker and 75% camber, providing easy turn initiation and added maneuverability in softer snow while maintaining dependable edge grip and power on groomed terrain.
A tough, durable base built for reliable long-term performance, providing consistent glide and dependable wear resistance across a wide variety of mountain conditions.
The included PR 11 GW is a lightweight system binding featuring the TX BTR toe, easy adjustment, and GripWalk compatibility. HEAD’s PowerRail system creates a secure connection between the binding and ski while allowing straightforward adjustment for different boot sizes.
