The Dakine Heli 2.0 Pro Backpack is built for skiers and snowboarders who chase fresh tracks, earn their turns, and venture beyond the resort boundaries. Drawing on over 30 years of Dakine's backcountry heritage, this rugged ski and snowboard backpack combines durable recycled ripstop construction with smart storage and mountain-ready features. Integrated RECCO technology helps professional rescuers locate you in an emergency, while versatile diagonal and A-frame ski carry options and vertical or horizontal snowboard carry systems make hauling gear a breeze. A dedicated avalanche tool compartment keeps your shovel and safety equipment organized, while a fleece-lined goggle pocket, removable helmet carry, and hydration compatibility add everyday convenience. Breathable back padding, ergonomic shoulder straps, and a supportive hip belt keep the pack comfortable on long approaches, while a sternum strap with rescue whistle adds another practical safety feature. From quick backcountry laps to full days exploring untouched terrain, the Heli 2.0 Pro is ready for the adventure.
An integrated RECCO reflector makes the backpack searchable by professional rescuers equipped with RECCO detectors. This passive technology requires no batteries or activation and provides an additional way for rescue teams to locate a person in an emergency. RECCO does not replace an avalanche transceiver, shovel, probe, or appropriate backcountry training.
Durable 600D recycled polyester diamond ripstop and coated polyester materials are designed to handle the demands of mountain travel. The ripstop construction helps resist tearing and abrasion from regular use, while the coated fabric adds durability for snowy environments.
Multiple deployable carry configurations allow the backpack to accommodate skis, splitboards, and snowboards. Diagonal and A-frame ski carry options, along with vertical and horizontal snowboard carry, provide flexibility for bootpacks, approaches, and changing terrain.
A separate snow tool and shovel compartment features organizational sleeves for keeping essential avalanche safety equipment accessible and separated from the main storage area.
Diagonal and A-frame carry configurations provide options for transporting skis or a splitboard when hiking, bootpacking, or navigating terrain where carrying equipment is necessary.
Deployable snowboard carry systems accommodate both vertical and horizontal positioning, allowing riders to choose the setup that best suits their equipment and route.
A removable helmet carry system provides convenient external storage when climbing or traveling. The carry system packs into a dedicated stash pocket located on the lumbar panel when not needed.
Breathable mesh padding along the back panel helps improve comfort during active movement, while ergonomic padded shoulder straps distribute the load across the upper body.
A 25 mm webbing hip belt with wings helps stabilize the backpack and improve carrying comfort when traveling with skis, snowboards, and other mountain equipment.
A dedicated fleece-lined pocket provides a softer storage area for goggles and other scratch-sensitive accessories, keeping them separated from larger equipment.
An easily accessible exterior pocket offers convenient storage for smaller items that need to be reached quickly without opening the main compartment.
An internal mesh pocket inside the main compartment helps organize smaller essentials and keeps loose accessories easier to locate.
Designed to accommodate an insulated hydration system or a two-way radio handset, allowing convenient access to hydration or communication equipment during mountain travel. Hydration systems and radios are not included.
An adjustable, removable sternum strap helps stabilize the shoulder straps during movement. An integrated rescue whistle provides an additional signaling option in an emergency.
The body combines 97% recycled polyester with 3% polyester, while the lining incorporates recycled polyester, conventional polyester, and nylon. The construction balances durable performance with the use of recycled materials.

Backcountry Safety: The integrated RECCO reflector is an additional search aid for professional rescue teams. It is not an avalanche transceiver and does not replace carrying an avalanche beacon, shovel, and probe or having the training to use them.
Gear Organization Tip: Keep avalanche rescue equipment in the dedicated snow tool compartment for quick access. Store goggles in the fleece-lined pocket and use the external carry systems when transporting skis, a splitboard, snowboard, or helmet.
