Edges

Edge Sharpening

Properly prepared edges improve grip and control, especially on firm Connecticut and New England snow. Edge service can also remove burrs and imperfections caused by regular use.

Bases

Base Grinding & Repair

Base grinding helps restore the running surface of a ski or snowboard. Depending on the service selected, minor P-TEX repairs can also address scratches and damage before the base is finished and waxed.

Glide

Ski & Snowboard Waxing

Wax helps improve glide while maintaining the base material. Our tune options range from machine wax to hot wax, hand-applied iron wax and race-focused hot-box preparation.

Race Preparation

Race Ski Tuning & Edge Preparation

Our $150 Race Tuning Service includes completely flattening the ski base, a stone grind with a race pattern, ceramic stone edge sharpening to racing-specific angles, P-TEX base repair and a two-stage hot-box treatment using base performance racing wax.

Maintenance

When Should I Tune My Skis or Snowboard?

There isn't one tuning schedule that works for everyone. Snow conditions, terrain and how frequently you ride all affect how quickly your bases and edges need attention. Dull edges, dry or whitish-looking bases, reduced glide, scratches and base damage are common signs that your equipment may be ready for service.

Edge Check

What If My Edges Feel Dull?

If your skis or snowboard no longer grip firm snow as confidently as they normally do, the edges may need sharpening and bevel work. This is especially noticeable on the firm and variable snow commonly encountered throughout Connecticut and New England.

Base Check

What If My Bases Look Dry?

Dry or whitish-looking bases can be a sign that your skis or snowboard are ready for wax. Proper waxing helps maintain the base and improve glide on snow.

Base Damage

Scratches & Gouges

Rocks, thin coverage and normal use can leave scratches or gouges in the base. Our Gold, Platinum and Race tuning services include applicable P-TEX base repair.
